I've been meaning to write about this!
1040pm Wednesday night April 21st... Got bread going, stinky Jazzy is gnawing on her rope, and it's a beautiful evening - a balmy 15 degrees! It's gonna be a HOT ONE in Jogas tomorrow where I will perform my first solo closing shift. :D I saw "The Last Station" tonight at the Gem Theatre - it was a good movie about Tolstoy and his movement in Russia. It was a beautiful love story I thought!
One of my first nights here I remember looking up into the sky and noticing a certain star... I noticed it because it was twinkling. Visibly twinkling, like a diamond. I couldn't remember if I had ever seen a star really twinkle before, but then I looked around at all the other stars and they were twinkling too! Now every night I see them twinkle down upon us in all the universe's glory. Perhaps because of the city lights I didn't see a twinkle before... it's really amazing how you see so few of the stars when you're in a metropolitan area. The sky is just littered with them everywhere! These twinkling stars are what I've been meaning to write about for weeks. What made me finally sit down and do it is that tonight I noticed the moon... It's about half full, but looks like a cartoon moon smiling down. I am not imagining this! You all should look out and see if you see a smiling moon tonight too!
It seems my "Coco Bareback" story was a hit with friends! And to think I almost deleted it thinking it was a bit boring. There are a few I screen out when it comes to actually sending them. Like the one about my Dad getting peed on by the cat... LOL! He was holding the cat saying "this cat just peed on the curtains! No more cats in the house!" and the friggin cat peed right on him hahaha.
Anyways... I've gotta get up early tomorrow to learn the ropes at my neighbors - they're going away for the weekend and I'm feeding the animals. Friday/Saturday this week will be crazy! Y'all take care now and remember to notice the whispering trees and twinkling stars.
